One has to wonder where some of the ancient ideas came from when it comes to creations like the centaur and minotaur. Were they simply the stuff of imagination, of ‘fairy tales’, of bedtime stories? I think of the phrase at the Tower of Babel, when God said ‘and now nothing they have imagined they can do will be impossible for them.’ (Gen 11:6).
What about the story of Atlantis told by Francis Bacon, a fictional work in which he imagines,
“Also we make them (beasts and birds) differ in colour, shape, activity, many ways. We find means to make commixtures and copulations of different kinds; which have produced many new kinds, and them not barren, as the general opinion is. We make a number of kinds of serpents, worms, flies, fishes, of putrefaction; whereof, some are advanced (in effect) to be perfect creatures, like beasts or birds; and have sexes, and do propagate. Neither do we this by chance, but we know beforehand, of what matter and commixture what kind of those creatures will arise.” (page 63 – Francis Bacon. (1561–1626). The New Atlantis. The Harvard Classics. 1909–14.)
Now I understand that this is a work of fiction. But if one does any studying in to Francis Bacon, he was one the great students of the mystery schools of all time, and it is well known that he helped to seed what the USA was to become, and he called the new country being formed, The New Atlantis. Francis Bacon did not write fiction for fiction’s sake. The purpose of this book was deep and meaningful. In the end, at the very least, it was his dream of the utopian culture that all the mystery schools dreamed of, and that dream was always based in resurrecting the ancient civilization, the Golden Age, back to life.
Let us also consider some other ancient works, such as the book of Jasher, where it states in chapter 4 verse 18: “18 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by forcefrom their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took fromthe cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture ofanimals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God sawthe whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men andall animals.” Jasher is quoted twice in the Bible,
(As to Jasher’s veracity, I will simply point in the direction of the 1840 version, and not the 1829 version, published by M. M. Noah and A. S. Gould. Noah states in the preface, “Without giving it to the world as a work of Divine inspiration, or assuming the responsibility to say that it was not an inspired work, I have no hesitation in pronouncing it a work of great antiquity and interest, and a work that is entitled, even regarding it as a literary curiosity, to a great circulation among those who take pleasure in studying the Scriptures.” (http://nazarenespace.com/group/bookofjasher/forum/topics/is-there-a-genuine-book-of
The heart of the matter is this. God created nature to produce after its own kind. There are boundaries in place. If the reason for the flood of Noah was truly, as Genesis 6 states, that “all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth”, then what choice did the Father have but to wipe it all out? Only Noah was “perfect in his generations”! The flood is not a mamby pamby story about a cute little ark and giraffes sticking their heads out the gable window in the penthouse suite, as I think of phrases Doug Hamp has used. The flood was an absolute necessity.
And we are there again. Where do we think this petri dish of genetics is going to lead? Does not logic itself dictate that the end result is a genetic stew, where all eventually looks the same? You can’t mix genetics together without somewhere down the line merging it all into one “creature”. That’s just mathematics and logic.
If we consider nothing else, not the earthquakes, the rise of a one world government, wars and rumours of wars, the temple coming to Israel, weather freakishness, whatever. Leave it all on the table. If we just consider the fact that the world today is mixing species together in order to play God, create man in our own image, create the Ubermensch, etc., then we have to see plainly that the end is near. Father God must step in soon. He’s done it before. He did it to Atlantis. He did it in Noah’s day. And as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be again.
It is clearly time to prepare our hearts and minds and souls and bodies for the end of all time. The Son of Man, The Son of God, is coming again. And He’s not coming just as a Lamb this time. His eyes will be blazing, and the Bridegroom is coming for His bride.
I wouldn’t want to be one of the chimera’s on that day.
